Bardsley Construction Limited are seeking planning permission to develop a number of new residential houses on land next to Dukinfield Golf Club.
Submitted at the back end of March by Wiplow Ltd, the planning application highlights the interest in developing 33 new residential dwellings next to the third tee of the golf course. The new dwellings would consist of a range of semi-detached and detached three and four bedroom properties.
Situated off Yew Tree Lane, the development could occupy unused brownfield land by the golf course which was previously used as an old garage.
The entrance to the new residential estate would be accessed from The Fairways, a recent residential addition to the town in itself.
It is expected that the current pathway that crosses from the north and south of the site will be maintained for the development.

In the application, it is stated that the houses will comprise of traditional red brick appearance, featuring steep pitched roofs and gable finial posts, modern stone surround windows with large glazes and low sills, and canopies to all entrances.
The application states there is a need for more detached properties in the town which the scheme will deliver, whilst no ecological problems have been identified that could impact the development.
The target decision date for the development is still a couple of months away, falling on 5 July 2018.
